Glanpwlldu Conversion of outbuildings

Glanpwlldu

  • Conversion of redundant agricultural outbuildings to form 4 residential units
  • Planning and design services
  • Building regulations
  • Project management

Completed in June 2017 and currently operating as successful holiday lets.

We initially commissioned Harries Design to provide designs and manage the planning application for the conversion of redundant agricultural stone barns into three residential / holiday cottages.

We knew we needed to build a team that we could trust, who would work well with others and would provide expert input throughout the programme of works for us to deliver a commercially viable outcome.

Wyn and the Harries Design team expertly guided us through the design, planning and then played a key role in not only contract administration but also pragmatic advice both pro-actively but also as and when we shouted for help as the questions and challenges appeared.

The result was that the programme was delivered 3 weeks ahead of schedule, the finished quality fully met our expectations and with a collaborative and structured cost management process we came in pretty much bang on budget.

Sam and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Wyn and the team and would not hesitate to recommend them to others and we will be using them again with the ongoing development.

"For many years we had submitted plans for a much-needed extension at Bethesda Chapel Narberth. On each occasion we were thwarted for many reasons, due to restrictions and the complexity and the many obstacles that needed to be overcome to acquire the facilities needed. HARRIES Planning Design Management, with a professionalism undertook this major project and saw it through from beginning to end. Guiding us step by step to overcome the difficulties, designing a building fitted for our needs, and sympathetic to the structure of the existing Chapel. The work was carried out to a high standard and the extension, is now a credit to the community and to Bethesda, and also a huge credit to the Harris Design team. All are welcome to come and see the finished work of which we are very proud off. Thankyou once again."
